Determinants to Succeed in Project

How successful a project is can’t be fully described. However, a project can be called a successful project if some basic determinants or elements are present. The determinants to succeed in a project are briefly described below –

1. On Time: Time is the determinant to succeed in a project implementation. A project will be successful only when the time is properly used. That is, the time which specified in the project plan, all the project works should be completed at that time.

2. Proper Budget: Budget is one of the determinants to succeed in a project. Shortage of budget is noticed in any project. So resources of a successful project must be used properly so that the project cost does not exceed the budget. That is, if a project is completed within the proper budget, then it is a successful project.

3. Skill: By following some technical aspects, All projects are managed. At the beginning of a project, it is decided how the project work will be carried out. What will be the output of the project? Project activities are decided based on what output is expected from the project. In any project, it is expected that the project results will meet their needs and the project will be implemented with the aim of fulfilling the needs. So delivering quality results through skilled manpower in project is a significant determinant of successful projects.

4. Customer Satisfaction: Any project is executed and managed by considering the needs of the customer. That is, the main objective of all projects is to provide customer satisfaction. If the project is a high quality, ensuring customer satisfaction is a successful project task. Customer satisfaction measures the success of the project. So project success depends on customer satisfaction.

So the project which is adopted and implemented by considering the above mentioned 4 determinants or elements, the project will be more likely to be successful.
